Ambassador - Nicole Pacelli
Nicole was born in Sao Paulo and grew up in Guaruja, on the south coast of the state of Sao Paulo in Brazil. It was there that she learned to surf, but it was on the beach in Maresias that she got a real taste for the sport. Daughter of Brazilian Big Wave Rider Jorge Pacelli and former professional body-boarder Flavia Boturao, she does not remember when she first stood up on a board, but she was a natural.
Eight years ago Nicole discovered a new passion, Stand Up Paddle (SUP). It all started when her father brought her a board from the US where the sport was already taking off. It was then that Nicole migrated from traditional surfing to SUP.
In 2013 she was the first female Stand Up Surf World Champion in history! Today she is one of the icons on Stand Up Surf!
But there is more than just competing for Nicole, she likes to continue to test her limits. She is ranked in the TOP 4 on the Best Female Performance Award in Big Waves and was the first woman to ride a wave with a Stand Up Paddle board at Jaws in Hawaii, one of the largest and most challenging waves in the world.
We are delighted that we are able to have Nicole as one of our Ambassadors and to be supplying her with our products to help her as she continues to “test her limits”. After all we are launching in 2018 – The Year of the Woman so who better to wear our vest.
